WENTX
The West New Territories Landfill Extension (WENTX) is a major environmental infrastructure project in Hong Kong, aimed at expanding the existing landfill at Nim Wan, Tuen Mun.
Awarded in August 2023 to the Hong Kong Resources Recovery Park joint venture—comprising Alchmex International Construction, China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong), and Veolia—the project is valued at HK$61.1 billion and represents the largest and longest New Engineering Contract (NEC) ever undertaken globally, spanning nearly 60 years .
Our client was contracted to undertake the construction of the J-Channel connecting the existing Tsang Kok Stream to Shenzhen Bay.
